Pond Cake

This cake was a pretty stressful project. this was my final project, and it really made me have to focus and really plan out what I was doing. we used butter cream and fondant to make our designs which took a bit of trial and error to get the right color. our cake was supposed to be 3 layers so it could be taller but some of our cakes started breaking when trying to get them out of the pan, so we had to improvise. we wanted the happy birthday to look like it was falling down the waterfall. in the end i would have used fondant instead of butter cream for the base blue color in order to make it look smoother.
