Macarons

these macarons are certainly an interesting pastry. they are a French type of dessert that have a crunchy outer crust and once bitten into have a soft inside. we did ours with strawberry French buttercream which helped add an extra touch of flavor. i found that they can take a lot of patience to create with having to let the egg yolk coming to room temperature and letting the batter rise before putting it into the oven.
